Camp Stew Sale
This past week members of the mission team and members of Collegedale Church of Christ prepared camp stew to sale as a fundraiser for the Malawi Mission Trip in May. We sold quarts for $10 and raised more than $2,000.
I had never heard of camp stew until living in Troy, but it is definitely a hit for those who are aware of Mr. Connor's camp stew. People buy six or seven quarts to freeze and eat throughout the year. We made 432 quarts and have sold 400 while the remaining ones are frozen for continued sale.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the stew and bought the camp stew.
We have not reached our final group goal yet with fundraising. We will continue to work and pray that funds will be provided for our trip. Thank you for your continued support and prayer over this trip to Malawi.

Mission Trip Details
Thank you once again for taking time to read some of these posts about my mission trip to Malawi. I have sent several of you letters asking for various ways of support. First of all, I would love to ask for your thoughts and prayers as we finalize details for this trip. The tenative dates for travel to Malawi are May 17-30. This journey begins in Atlanta, we spend one night in Johannesburg, South Africa, after the longest leg of the trip (roughly 16 hour flight), then land in Malawi two days after departing from Atlanta.
We will stay 12 days traveling to different villages participating in food missions, clothes distribution, and working with the children in the orphanages. The people really make this trip special. They are so welcoming and appreciative of your time and efforts. After leaving last time, I felt like they taught me more than I could have possibly taught them.
As you continue to keep plans for this trip in your thoughts and prayers, please continue to think about our fundraising efforts. Each team member is working on raising $3,000 to pay for air travel and funds for items we take with us for the people there.
I will continue to keep this blog updated with new information and hopefully post some pictures from my visit last time.
